Best selection of beer, wine and spirits around not to mention amazing chicken salad and superb other foods

I generally only rate restaurants and hotels but a chance glance at the reviews for Town & Country prompted me to write this critique. My husband and I have been summer visitors to St. Michaels for 15 years and have patronized the shop for with pleasure every year. While here we entertain a lot and so pop into T & C every couple of weeks to pick up some beer, wine, spirits and snacks. . We enjoyed good, helpful service every single time. The staff is wine savvy and give great advice. The store is run down and, judging by the many stains and sagging, the ceiling will eventually collapse, but we prefer this to the antiseptic look and feel of a generic liquor store. We see more or less the same faces year after year and are always glad we stopped in to resupply. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. We have no connection to the owners who are invariably kind, polite, and helpful. Perhaps they aren't overly smiley, but I don't expect to be best friends, just patrons. As such, we are always treated with respect.

A great locally owned store that has it all. If they don't have what you need, it will be ordered. Sad to see a few unfavorable reviews. This has never been our experience in over 15 years. Town and county gives back to the community and is involved in civic activities. The selections of wines and liquors at a reasonable price is excellent. The newer edition of extended deli offerings is a welcome change. The owners know their business and we often have them recommend options and have never had a disappointing purchase. During the pandemic, the front window was used for service and was perfect. It was order and pickup. Cheers to the future.

This is a small store, so trying to maintain social distancing would be extremely difficult. I've been here twice during the pandemic and the process is pretty streamlined. Staff was friendly and helpful; didn't see the old guy. You order at one window and pick up minutes later at the next. They had what I wanted, and the prices were reasonable. Plus, they have Scottish Highland Creamery (flavors listed at the ordering table) ice cream. What's not to like!?

The staff here is very helpful. I went in looking for a locally brewed cider, and not only did they carry it, they had all 3 varieties made by the brewer. The selection is amazing, with so many varieties on hand, if they don't have it, nobody in the area does. They are now my go-to for beer and wine in Easton. Especially since the others try to BS you on products. Thanks!!
